MAZATLÁN, Mexico (Interstat) — Guadalajara rallied with two goals in the final 12 minutes to defeat Mazatlán 2-0 on Wednesday in a Liga MX Week 7 match at Estadio de Mazatlán. The result defied a pregame projection that favored a draw.

Mazatlán’s Alfonso Sánchez opened the scoring in the 69th minute, but the goal was later credited as an own goal against teammate Oswaldo Alanís. Guadalajara’s Ángel Zaldívar equalized in the 78th minute. Alanís then headed into his own net in the 87th minute to seal the road victory for Guadalajara.
