ELLESMERE PORT, England (Interstat) — Cheshire Phoenix defeated the Surrey 89ers 99-95 on Sunday at Cheshire Oaks Arena. The Phoenix improved to 22-12, while the 89ers dropped to 13-19.

LaQuincy Rideau led Cheshire with 15 points and 12 assists. Pat Robinson scored 20 points with five rebounds. Frankie Policelli and Tobias Cameron each added 15 points, and Skyler White contributed 12 points and six rebounds.

Tyrin Lawrence paced Surrey with 27 points and four rebounds. Nedas Cholevinskas finished with 26 points and seven rebounds. Kino Lilly had 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Michael Graham posted 14 points and nine rebounds.

Cheshire shot 35 of 78 from the field, including 11 of 37 from three-point range, and made 18 of 22 free throws. Surrey shot 35 of 69 overall, 10 of 24 from deep, and 15 of 18 at the line. The Phoenix committed eight turnovers against 15 for the 89ers and led in assists 8-5 and steals 8-5.

The win marked Cheshire’s fifth straight victory over Surrey this season.
