KRASNOYARSK, Russia (Interstat) — A surging CSKA Moscow looks to continue its strong start to the season when it visits a struggling Enisey Krasnoyarsk in a VTB United League matchup on Saturday.

The game will tip off at 7 p.m. local time at Ivan Yarygin Sports Palace.

CSKA Moscow (5-1) enters the contest riding a wave of momentum, having won its last two games. The army men are coming off an 86-77 home victory over Nizhny Novgorod on Wednesday, where Livio Jean-Charles led a balanced attack with 12 points and six rebounds. Antonius Cleveland and Ivan Ukhov also chipped in 12 points apiece.

In stark contrast, Enisey Krasnoyarsk (0-4) is still searching for its first win of the season. The team is reeling from a 93-67 home loss to UNICS Kazan on Tuesday. Despite the lopsided score, Danilo Tasic provided a bright spot with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Dominic Artis scored a team-high 17 points.

Enisey’s winless record has been marked by narrow defeats, including a one-point loss to MBA Moscow and a three-point loss to Avtodor Saratov earlier this month.

CSKA’s only blemish this season was a three-point road loss to Parma Basket Perm on Oct. 5. Since then, they have secured tight victories over Zenit St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod.

The matchup presents a classic clash between a perennial league powerhouse and a team at the bottom of the standings desperate to turn its season around.
