(Interstat) — Treynor Cleeland threw for 331 yards and two touchdowns to lead UC Davis past Stetson 45-7 on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, in an NCAA Football Championship Division game at UC Davis Health Stadium. Cleeland completed 26 of 37 passes. Samuel Gbatu Jr. caught 10 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown, while Zach Jones returned two punts for touchdowns for the Aggies. UC Davis improved to 3-1. Stetson’s Thomas Von Grote completed 22 of 39 passes for 219 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 42 yards. Anthony Benzija added six receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown for the Hatters. Marvin Duffey Jr. returned four kickoffs for 57 yards for Stetson. Porter Connors recorded 10 tackles for UC Davis, and Teeg Slone had nine. Damontez McDowell made 10 tackles and one sack for Stetson. The Hatters fell to 1-3. UC Davis next hosts Montana, while Stetson hosts Marist.
