Jackrabbits roll past Hatters 70‑7 in season opener

BROOKINGS, S.D. (Interstat) — Chase Mason threw a 73-yard touchdown pass and South Dakota State scored early and often in a 70-7 season-opening victory over Stetson on Saturday at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. The Jackrabbits built a 42-0 halftime lead with three touchdowns each in the first and second quarters. Mason completed 5 of 10 passes for 157 yards and a touchdown.
