North Carolina A&T at Stony Brook

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to halt late-season slides will meet when Stony Brook hosts North Carolina A&T on Saturday at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium.

The Seawolves (4-5) have dropped two straight, including a 28-21 loss at Maine last Saturday. Quarterback Quinn Boyd leads the offense, coming off a 299-yard passing performance.

The visiting Aggies (2-7) are hoping to rebound from a 62-9 home loss to Towson. North Carolina A&T’s quarterback situation appears unsettled, with Kevin White, Noah Sanders and Nelson Layne all seeing action in the defeat. Layne provided a spark with 66 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Despite the records, the game is projected to be close. Interstat’s game simulator forecasts a 34-29 victory for Stony Brook.

The Seawolves have been stronger at home this season, including a win over Towson, while the Aggies’ only two victories came in tight contests against Campbell and Hampton.

Stony Brook will look to get its running game, led by Roland Dempster, back on track against an Aggies defense that has struggled. North Carolina A&T will aim to establish more consistency on offense to snap its two-game losing streak.
