Holy Cross at Lehigh
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (Interstat) — A clash of Patriot League titans and a team fighting for its season’s pride unfolds Saturday when the undefeated and No. 4-ranked Lehigh Mountain Hawks host the struggling Holy Cross Crusaders at Goodman Stadium.
Lehigh (9-0) enters the contest riding a wave of dominance, fresh off a 41-0 shutout of Georgetown. The Mountain Hawks’ offense has been a multi-faceted weapon, with quarterback Hayden Johnson leading a potent attack. Their defense has been equally formidable, allowing an average of just 14.2 points per game.
Conversely, Holy Cross (1-8) looks to salvage its season, mired in a three-game losing streak. The Crusaders are coming off a 21-13 home loss to Lafayette. Despite the record, Holy Cross has been competitive, with five of its eight losses coming by a single possession. Running back Jayden Clerveaux, who rushed for 135 yards in the loss to Lafayette, provides a bright spot for an offense seeking consistency.
The teams are on opposite trajectories. Lehigh, with its perfect record, controls its destiny in the conference and national playoff picture. Holy Cross is simply playing for pride and to build momentum for the future.
According to a projection from Interstat, the game is expected to be closer than the records suggest, with a simulated final score of Lehigh 28, Holy Cross 23.
Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. EST on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
