East Tennessee State at Samford
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Interstat) — Two teams heading in opposite directions will meet Saturday when the East Tennessee State Buccaneers visit the Samford Bulldogs at Seibert Stadium.
East Tennessee State (4-5) enters on a high note after a 14-10 victory over Wofford on Oct. 25. The Buccaneers’ offense found success on the ground in that win, led by running back Devontae Houston, who rushed for 94 yards and scored two touchdowns. Quarterbacks Cade McNamara and Jake McNamara also contributed with their legs in a low-passing game.
Samford (1-8) looks to halt a four-game skid, most recently a 26-16 loss at Wofford on Nov. 1. Quarterback Quincy Crittendon passed for 219 yards in the defeat, but the Bulldogs’ defense has struggled throughout the season, yielding an average of over 35 points per game.
Despite the disparity in records, a projection from Interstat forecasts a Samford victory with a final score of 39-28. The Buccaneers will aim to leverage their recent momentum and ground game to defy the simulation and even their season record.
Kickoff is set for Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025.
