COMMERCE, Texas (Interstat) — McNeese State built a large early lead and defeated Texas A&M-Commerce 35-20 on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. The Cowboys scored 21 points in the first half and never trailed. Coleby Hamm led McNeese State with 127 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Jake Strong added 136 rushing yards and a score. Christian Jourdain had six receptions for 104 yards for the Lions in the loss. McNeese State improved to 4-6, while Texas A&M-Commerce fell to 2-8.
