Charlotte at East Carolina
GREENVILLE, N.C. (Interstat) — The East Carolina Pirates, riding high after a decisive road victory, return to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium on Saturday to host the struggling Charlotte 49ers in an American Athletic Conference matchup.
East Carolina (5-3) enters the contest following a 45-14 rout of Temple last Saturday. Quarterback Katin Houser was efficient, passing for 256 yards and two touchdowns in the win. The Pirates have won three of their last four games.
Charlotte (1-7) seeks to halt a six-game losing streak. The 49ers are coming off a 54-20 home loss to North Texas on Oct. 24, a game where their defense surrendered 54 points for the second time in three weeks. Despite the loss, wide receiver Javen Nicholas had a standout performance, hauling in seven receptions for 187 yards and two touchdowns.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a final score of East Carolina 42, Charlotte 28. Despite the lopsided projection, Charlotte has been installed as a 28.5-point underdog. The over/under is set at 55.5.
The game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025. Following this contest, East Carolina will host Memphis, while Charlotte will return home to face Texas-San Antonio on Nov. 15.
