Citadel at Ole Miss

UNIVERSITY, Miss. (Interstat) — The Ole Miss Rebels, riding high in the national rankings, return home to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Saturday to face a non-conference test against The Citadel Bulldogs.

Ole Miss (8-1) is coming off a 30-14 victory over South Carolina last Saturday. The Rebels’ offense, led by quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and running back Kewan Lacy, has been potent all season, with their lone loss a 43-35 defeat at then-Georgia on Oct. 18.

The Citadel (4-5), a member of the Football Championship Subdivision’s Southern Conference, is looking to build momentum after a 35-24 win over Virginia Military Institute. The Bulldogs’ triple-option offense features multiple productive rushers, including quarterbacks Quentin Hayes and Cobey Thompkins.

This matchup is a classic “trap game” for the Rebels, who host Florida in a critical Southeastern Conference matchup next week. Ole Miss will be heavily favored, but must avoid looking ahead against a Bulldogs team that has shown the ability to put up points.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a final score of Ole Miss 31, The Citadel 3.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025.
