Houston at UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. (Interstat) — A Houston team looking to rebound from its highest-scoring loss of the season visits a UCF squad aiming to stop a two-game slide when the Cougars face the Knights on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025.

The American Athletic Conference matchup at FBC Mortgage Stadium pits two teams on divergent paths. Houston (7-2) saw its offense stall in a 45-35 home loss to West Virginia last Saturday, despite a 309-yard, four-touchdown passing performance from quarterback Conner Weigman. The Cougars had won three straight prior to that defeat.

UCF (4-4) is looking to reignite its offense after being held to a season-low three points in a 30-3 road loss to Baylor. The Knights’ attack, led by quarterback Tayven Jackson, managed just 151 passing yards in the defeat. UCF’s season has been a series of streaks, with a dominant 45-13 win over West Virginia in mid-October followed by consecutive losses.

Despite the records, the Knights are narrow 1.5-point favorites according to oddsmakers. The game is projected to be a high-scoring affair, with an over/under set at 47.5 points. A simulation by Interstat forecasts a 38-32 victory for UCF.

The game will be the first of a challenging November stretch for both teams as they jockey for postseason positioning.
