ATHENS, Ohio (Interstat) — Ohio held on for a 24-20 win over Miami (Ohio) on Tuesday night at Peden Stadium after a late Redhawks rally fell short. The Bobcats improved to 6-3, while the Redhawks dropped to 5-4.

Miami quarterback Dequan Finn threw two fourth-quarter touchdown passes to erase a 10-point deficit and tie the game at 20. Ohio answered immediately as Sieh Bangura returned the ensuing kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown. Bangura also rushed for a score.

The Redhawks’ final drive ended with an interception by Ohio’s Jalen Thomeson with 1:47 remaining, sealing the win for the Bobcats.
