Wyoming at San Diego State
OKLAHOMA CITY (Interstat) — A surging San Diego State team will look to continue its dominant run when it faces a resurgent Wyoming squad in a non-conference matchup at Taft Stadium on Saturday.
The Aztecs (6-1) enter on a five-game winning streak, most recently blanking Fresno State 23-0. Their defense has been formidable, allowing just 10 total points during the streak. Running back Lucky Sutton, who rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown against Fresno State, powers the offense.
Wyoming (4-4) is coming off a strong 28-0 victory over rival Colorado State. The Cowboys have shown a potent, multi-faceted offense, with quarterback Kaden Anderson throwing for two touchdowns and linebacker Sam Scott adding a 68-yard rushing touchdown from a specialty package in the win.
Despite San Diego State’s superior record, Wyoming has been installed as a 10.5-point favorite by oddsmakers. The over/under is set at 42.5 points. A projection from Interstat simulates a close Aztecs victory, 33-27.
The game at a neutral site in Oklahoma City offers a final non-conference test for both programs before they return to their respective league schedules.
