Lincoln (CA) at Prairie View
PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (Interstat) — The Prairie View Panthers, riding a three-game winning streak, are heavily favored as they host the struggling Lincoln (CA) Oaklanders at Panther Stadium on Saturday.
Prairie View (4-2) enters the contest following a dominant 24-3 road victory over Southern on Oct. 18. The Panthers’ defense has been a key factor in their success, allowing an average of just 12 points during their current win streak, which includes victories over Alcorn State (13-12) and Grambling (28-13).
Conversely, Lincoln (CA) (6-57) is mired in a deep slump, having been outscored 91-0 in its last two games, including a 49-0 loss at Mississippi Valley State on Oct. 18. The Oaklanders’ offense, led by quarterback Cameron Peters and running backs Chase Bingmon and Lamagea McDowell, showed flashes in a recent outing but has struggled with consistency against a challenging schedule.
The Panthers will look to capitalize on their home-field advantage and defensive momentum against an Oaklanders team that has found scoring difficult. A victory would keep Prairie View in a strong position within the conference as it looks ahead to a matchup with Alabama State on Nov. 1.
Kickoff is set for Saturday, Oct. 25, in Prairie View.
