Tarleton State at Eastern Kentucky

RICHMOND, Ky. (Interstat) — The undefeated Tarleton State Texans, one of the nation’s surprise teams, put their perfect record on the line Saturday when they visit Roy Kidd Stadium to face the Eastern Kentucky Colonels.

Tarleton State (7-0) enters the contest riding high after a 45-10 rout of West Georgia last Saturday. The Texans’ offense has been potent, averaging over 48 points per game during their seven-game winning streak, which includes a season-opening 30-27 road victory at Army.

Eastern Kentucky (3-3) looks to rebound from a 35-14 road loss to North Alabama. The Colonels have been inconsistent, alternating wins and losses over their last four games. Their offense, led by quarterback Myles Burkett, will face its toughest test of the season against a surging Texans squad.

The game features a stark contrast in momentum. The Texans have won every game by at least 18 points since their opener, while the Colonels have struggled against stronger competition, falling to Marshall, Louisville and West Georgia.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, this contest projects to be a high-scoring affair, with a predicted final score of Tarleton State 41, Eastern Kentucky 34.
