West Georgia at Tarleton State

STEPHENVILLE, Texas (Interstat) — An undefeated Tarleton State team looks to continue its best start in years when it hosts a formidable West Georgia squad on Saturday at Tarleton Memorial Stadium.

The Texans (6-0) are one of the nation’s remaining unbeaten teams, powered by an offense that has scored at least 41 points in its last three games. In their last outing, a 41-23 win over Utah Tech, quarterback James Paige rushed for 114 yards and four touchdowns, while Braelon Bridges added 70 yards on just seven carries.

The visiting West Georgia Wolves (5-1) saw their perfect season end last week with a 30-13 loss to Abilene Christian. Quarterback Colton Fitzgerald threw for 241 yards and a touchdown in the defeat, but the Wolves’ ground game was held to just 19 yards by Latrelle Murrell.

This matchup pits Tarleton State’s potent offense against a West Georgia team that had been rolling before last week’s setback. The Wolves’ only other blemish is a 44-30 loss to Austin Peay.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, this contest projects to be a high-scoring affair, with a predicted final score of Tarleton State 39, West Georgia 32.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025.
