Michigan State at Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (Interstat) — The undefeated Indiana Hoosiers will put their perfect record on the line Saturday when they host the reeling Michigan State Spartans in a Big Ten Conference clash at Memorial Stadium.

Indiana (5-0) is one of the surprise stories of the college football season, coming off a statement 30-20 road victory over then-Oregon. Quarterback Fernando Mendoza has been efficient, and a rushing attack led by Roman Hemby and Kaelon Black has powered the Hoosiers’ ascent.

Conversely, Michigan State (3-2) is looking to rebound from a humbling 38-13 home loss to UCLA last Saturday. The Spartans’ two losses have come in their last three games, with the defense surrendering an average of 40.3 points in those defeats. The quarterback tandem of Alessio Milivojevic and Aidan Chiles has shown flashes but struggled with consistency against tougher competition.

Despite the divergent trajectories, Interstat’s game simulator projects a close contest, forecasting a 30-25 victory for Michigan State. The Spartans have also been installed as a slight pregame favorite with a spread of +26.5, and the over/under is set at 52.5.

The game will be a test of Indiana’s legitimacy as a conference contender and a must-win for Michigan State to stabilize its season before a daunting stretch that includes rivals Michigan and Penn State. Kickoff is set for Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025.
