Howard at Sacred Heart

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (Interstat) — A pair of teams looking to rebound from narrow conference losses will meet Saturday when the Howard Bison visit the Sacred Heart Pioneers at Campus Field.

Howard (3-2) is coming off a heartbreaking 13-12 defeat at Richmond on Sept. 27. The Bison offense, which had averaged 36 points in its previous two wins, was held in check despite a 129-yard rushing performance from running back Anthony Reagan Jr.

Sacred Heart (4-2) saw its four-game winning streak snapped in a 42-35 shootout at Central Connecticut last week. Quarterback Jack Snyder was productive in the loss, throwing for 218 yards and two touchdowns while adding 56 yards and another score on the ground.

The Bison have relied on a strong running game, while the Pioneers have shown a more balanced offensive attack. Howard’s defense will be tasked with containing Snyder and running back Trey Eberhart III, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown last week.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, Sacred Heart is projected to win with a final score of 39-26.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025.
