Southern California Topples Michigan Behind Maiava, Miller
LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — Jayden Maiava passed for 265 yards and two touchdowns and King Miller rushed for 158 yards and a score as Southern California pulled away from Michigan for a 31-13 victory Saturday at a sold-out Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The 18th-ranked Trojans (4-1) scored touchdowns on their opening drive and never trailed, methodically building their lead in front of 75,500 fans. Miller’s 49-yard run set up his own 15-yard touchdown in the third quarter, and Bryan Jackson’s 29-yard score in the fourth sealed the win.
Bryce Underwood threw two touchdown passes for the 14th-ranked Wolverines (4-1), including a 69-yard strike to Andrew Marsh in the fourth. Michigan’s offense was stifled by the Trojans’ defense, which recorded two interceptions and three sacks.
