Nebraska at Maryland
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (Interstat) — A pivotal Big Ten clash is set for SECU Stadium on Saturday as the Nebraska Cornhuskers visit the Maryland Terrapins, with both teams carrying 4-1 records and aspirations for a conference title run.
The matchup features two teams coming off contrasting performances in their first conference tests. Nebraska is riding high after a decisive 38-27 victory over Michigan State last Saturday, powered by a three-touchdown performance from running back Emmett Johnson. The Cornhuskers’ only blemish is a narrow 30-27 loss to Michigan.
Maryland, meanwhile, looks to rebound from a tough 24-20 home loss to Washington. Despite quarterback Malik Washington throwing for 219 yards and two touchdowns, the Terrapins’ offense sputtered at critical moments.
The game presents a classic strength-versus-strength scenario. Nebraska’s potent ground game, which has averaged over 40 points in its four wins, will challenge a stout Maryland defense that has not allowed more than 24 points in a game this season.
Despite the Terrapins being installed as 6.5-point favorites, analytics firm Interstat projects a 30-24 victory for the visiting Cornhuskers. The over/under is set at 47.5.
Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025.
