Northwestern Stuns Penn State With Late Rally for Upset Victory

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (Interstat) — Northwestern scored nine unanswered points in the fourth quarter to stun Penn State 22-21 on Saturday at Beaver Stadium. The Wildcats, who led 3-0 after the first quarter, fell behind 14-13 at halftime before their final-period surge. A failed two-point conversion after a Caleb Komolafe touchdown run proved inconsequential as the Wildcats’ defense held. Komolafe ran for 72 yards and a score, while quarterback Preston Stone threw for 163 yards and a touchdown. For Penn State, Drew Allar threw for 137 yards and a rushing touchdown. Both teams are now 3-2 on the season.
