Arkansas at Tennessee
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Interstat) — The Tennessee Volunteers, riding high after a dramatic overtime victory, return home to Neyland Stadium on Saturday to face an Arkansas Razorbacks team looking to rebound from a lopsided defeat.
Tennessee (4-1) is coming off a 41-34 road win over Mississippi State, where quarterback Joey Aguilar threw for 335 yards and accounted for two touchdowns. The Volunteers’ lone blemish is an overtime loss to Georgia.
Arkansas (2-3) has dropped three straight, including a 56-13 home loss to Notre Dame in its last outing on Sept. 27. Quarterback Taylen Green accounted for 288 yards of total offense in that game, but the Razorbacks’ defense has struggled mightily during the skid.
Despite the divergent records, the Interstat game simulator projects a competitive contest, forecasting a 29-21 Tennessee victory. Arkansas has been installed as an 11.5-point underdog, with the over/under set at 67.5.
The game represents a critical SEC East vs. West matchup for both squads. Tennessee will look to maintain its momentum before a daunting road trip to Alabama next week. For Arkansas, a trip to Knoxville offers a chance to steady its season before hosting Texas A&M on Oct. 18.
