BOISE, Idaho (Interstat) — Ty Simpson passed for three touchdowns and Alabama’s defense made a final stand to preserve a 27-24 victory over previously unbeaten Missouri on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Simpson connected with Isaiah Horton and Kevin Riley for first-half scores before finding Daniel Hill for the decisive 1-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula answered with a late scoring pass to Donovan Olugbode, but the Crimson Tide defense intercepted Pribula on the Tigers’ final drive to seal the win before a crowd of 57,321. Alabama improved to 4-1, while Missouri suffered its first loss, falling to 5-1.
