Alabama at Missouri

BOISE, Idaho (Interstat) — An undefeated Missouri squad will face its toughest test of the season when the Tigers host the Alabama Crimson Tide in a nonconference showdown Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

Missouri (5-0), one of 11 remaining unbeaten FBS teams, enters as a 2.5-point favorite despite being ranked lower than the Crimson Tide (4-1) in the AP Top 25. The Tigers are coming off a 42-6 rout of Massachusetts on Sept. 27. Quarterback Beau Pribula was efficient in that win, completing 26 of 29 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown.

Alabama, which fell 31-17 at Florida State to open the season, has since reeled off four straight wins, including a 24-21 victory at then-Georgia on Sept. 27. The Crimson Tide are riding high after a 30-14 win over Vanderbilt last Saturday, powered by quarterback Ty Simpson’s 340-yard, two-touchdown passing performance and a 136-yard rushing day from Jam Miller.

The neutral-site game in Boise is a marquee matchup featuring two top-10 teams with potent offenses. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 29-20 Alabama victory, counter to the betting line that slightly favors Missouri. The over/under is set at 51.5 points.
