Dayton at Morehead State

HALDEMAN, Ky. (Interstat) — The Dayton Flyers, riding high after a decisive victory, will travel to face the Morehead State Eagles on Saturday in a non-conference matchup at Jayne Stadium.

Dayton (3-1) is coming off a dominant 48-14 win over Stetson last Saturday. Quarterback Bryce Schondelmyer was exceptionally efficient, completing 19 of 23 passes for 333 yards and five touchdowns. The Flyers’ only loss this season came in their opener at Eastern Illinois.

Morehead State (2-3) looks to rebound from a 41-0 road loss to Presbyterian. The Eagles’ offense struggled in that contest, with three different quarterbacks seeing action. Their two wins this season have come against lower-division opponents Kentucky Christian and Allen.

According to a projection from Interstat, the game is expected to be close, with a simulated final score of Morehead State 30, Dayton 28.

The Flyers will look to their potent passing attack to secure a road win before returning home to host Valparaiso on Oct. 11. The Eagles will aim to leverage their home-field advantage before hitting the road to face Stetson the following weekend.
