Morehead State at Presbyterian

CLINTON, S.C. (Interstat) — An undefeated Presbyterian squad looks to continue its best start in years when it hosts a surging Morehead State team in a non-conference matchup on Saturday at Bailey Memorial Stadium.

The Blue Hose (4-0) are riding high after a dominant 76-3 victory over Bluefield University last week, where quarterback Collin Hurst was nearly perfect, completing 15 of 18 passes for 287 yards and four touchdowns. Presbyterian’s resume also includes a narrow 39-38 road win over Furman, signaling the team’s ability to win close games.

They will face a Morehead State Eagles team that evened its record at 2-2 with a 45-28 win over Kentucky Christian. Eagles quarterback Carter Cravens is coming off a strong performance, throwing for 311 yards and four touchdowns while adding another score on the ground. Running back Craig Cunningham provides balance, rushing for 138 yards in the victory.

However, the Eagles have struggled against tougher competition, suffering lopsided losses to Austin Peay (56-7) and Illinois State (41-13) earlier this season. Containing Presbyterian’s potent offense, which has averaged over 43 points per game, will be their primary challenge.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, this contest is projected to be a nail-biter, with a predicted final score of Presbyterian 37, Morehead State 36.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025.
