LEWISBURG, Pa. (Interstat) — Bucknell erased a 10-point halftime deficit to defeat Saint Francis (PA) 30-23 on Saturday at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. The Bison improved to 2-2, while the Red Flash fell to 0-4.

Saint Francis led 17-10 at halftime, but Bucknell scored 12 points in the third quarter to take the lead for good. A late Red Flash drive ended with a Brad Gerken interception in the end zone with one second remaining to seal the win.

Nick Whitfield Jr. threw for 377 yards and a touchdown for Saint Francis. Bucknell’s Ralph Rucker IV accounted for two touchdowns, and Tariq Thomas rushed for 95 yards and a score.
