Weber State at UC Davis
DAVIS, Calif. (Interstat) — Two Big Sky Conference teams riding high-scoring victories, the Weber State Wildcats and UC Davis Aggies, will clash Saturday at UC Davis Health Stadium.
Weber State (2-2) evened its record last week with a 38-24 home win over Butler. The Wildcats’ offense found its rhythm, led by quarterback Jackson Gilkey, who threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns, and running back Davion Godley, who rushed for 193 yards and a score. The Wildcats’ two losses came against FBS-level Arizona and FCS powerhouse James Madison.
UC Davis (2-1) is coming off a 50-34 win over Southern Utah. The Aggies’ offense displayed a potent ground game, with running back Jordan Fisher rushing for 170 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Caden Pinnick also contributed with both his arm and legs in the victory. The Aggies’ lone loss was a lopsided defeat at Washington.
The game features two offenses that have shown explosive potential in recent outings. Weber State’s defense will be tasked with containing a multifaceted UC Davis attack, while the Aggies must find a way to slow down Godley and the Wildcats’ rushing game.
According to a projection from Interstat, the Aggies are favored to win, with a simulated final score of UC Davis 42, Weber State 31.
Kickoff is set for Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025. This contest opens the conference schedule for both teams.
