LUBBOCK, Texas (Interstat) — Brennan Phillips carried a no-hitter into the ninth inning and Oklahoma State’s offense provided ample support as the Cowboys defeated Texas Tech 11-2 on Sunday afternoon at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. Phillips, a right-hander, worked 8.1 innings, allowing two earned runs on zero hits while striking out six. He walked one and hit a batter. The only blemish on his line came in the fourth inning, when Texas Tech’s Logan Hughes belted a two-run homer to center field, driving in Ben Lopez who had singled.
