LUBBOCK, Texas (Interstat) — Brennan Phillips struck out six over 8.1 innings and Oklahoma State completed a three-game Big 12 series sweep of Texas Tech with an 11-2 victory Sunday afternoon at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. The Cowboys improved to 28-16, while the Red Raiders fell to 22-22. Alex Conover went 4-for-6 with a home run and an RBI to lead Oklahoma State’s 11-hit attack. Conover homered in the first inning. Garrett Shull homered in the second, Tucker Norman homered in the fourth and Colin Brueggemann homered in the sixth. Shull and Brueggemann each drove in two runs. Kollin Ritchie added three hits and an RBI. Logan Hughes hit a two-run homer in the fourth for Texas Tech’s only runs. The Cowboys broke open a 4-2 game with a six-run ninth inning, using two walks, a hit batter and a fielder’s choice. Phillips allowed two earned runs. Kai Fyke recorded the final two outs in relief. The Red Raiders managed only seven hits and left six runners on base. The sweep followed Oklahoma State’s 9-8 win Saturday and 16-6 win Friday.
