LUBBOCK, Texas (Interstat) -- Xavier Perez hit a three-run homer and Cade Climie added a two-run shot as the Houston Cougars built an early lead and held off a late rally to defeat the Texas Tech Red Raiders 8-6 on Thursday night at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
