LEWISBURG, Pa. (Interstat) — Ty Lagoni homered and drove in three runs as Bucknell defeated Holy Cross 9-5 on Tuesday afternoon at Eugene B. Depew Field.

The Bison trailed 5-0 after three innings before scoring nine unanswered runs. Lagoni’s two-run homer in the seventh tied the game, and an unearned run later in the frame put Bucknell ahead. The Bison added two more unearned runs in the eighth.

Braden Connors homered for Holy Cross, driving in two runs. Crusaders starter Jake Lenahan allowed five earned runs over six innings despite not surrendering a hit, as walks and errors aided Bucknell’s rally. Everett Garber earned the win with 3 1/3 innings of relief, allowing one earned run.

The victory improved Bucknell to 27-23 overall. Holy Cross fell to 24-28. The teams conclude their series Wednesday.
