Walker’s Blast Powers Revolutionaries Past Bulldogs

ARLINGTON, Va. (Interstat) — Conlon Walker’s three-run homer in the fifth inning sparked a comeback as the George Washington Revolutionaries edged the Yale Bulldogs 6-5 on Saturday evening at Barcroft Park.

Walker’s blast to right-center off Yale reliever Alex Hwang erased a 5-2 deficit and tied the game. The Revolutionaries then won it in the eighth on an RBI single by R. Lavey.

Yale built its early lead behind Owen Turner, who had three RBIs, including a two-run double in the sixth. George Washington’s Charlie Walsh went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Andrew Cutler earned the win for George Washington (6-7) with four innings of relief. Nicholas West recorded the final two outs for Yale (4-4) to strand the bases loaded in the eighth.
