Morehead State Routs Louisville Behind Correa’s Two Home Runs
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Interstat) — Jaden Correa went 4 for 4 with two home runs and four RBIs to power the Morehead State Eagles to a 13-5 victory over the Louisville Cardinals on Tuesday evening at Jim Patterson Stadium.
The Eagles, who improved to 5-7, amassed 11 hits. Correa’s second homer, a three-run shot in the fifth inning, highlighted a decisive offensive outburst. Carter Owens earned the win with 3 1/3 innings of relief, allowing one earned run.
Louisville (7-5) managed eight hits, with Jimmy Nugent driving in two runs on a second-inning double. The Cardinals’ bullpen, including scoreless outings from Casen Murphy and Zane Stahl, provided stability after the early deficit. The result defied a pregame projection favoring Louisville.
