HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (Interstat) — Josh Williams went 3 for 4 with three home runs and six RBIs to lead Northern Kentucky to a 21-6 victory over Morehead State on Wednesday afternoon at Bill Aker Baseball Complex.

The Norse, who evened their record at 4-4, pounded out 15 hits. Alex Brazer added a home run and seven RBIs, while Jake Paulick homered twice. The trio combined for eight hits, six home runs and 16 RBIs.

Northern Kentucky scored in each of the first six innings, pulling away after Morehead State briefly tied the game in the third. The Eagles fell to 3-5 despite a four-RBI game from Kean.

Five Norse pitchers combined on the win, with MJ Castaneda earning the victory in relief. The result defied a pregame projection that narrowly favored the Norse.
