SAN DIEGO (Interstat) — In a wild, back-and-forth season opener that saw 23 runs and 28 hits, the San Diego State Aztecs outlasted the Long Island Sharks 12-11 on Friday at USD Sports Center. The game, played on Feb. 13, 2026, was decided in the bottom of the eighth inning when San Diego State’s Zane Magpoc delivered a two-out, run-scoring single to break an 11-11 tie.
