BERKELEY, Calif. (Interstat) — Stanford visits California on Saturday in an ACC matchup at Evans Diamond, with first pitch set under clear skies and a temperature of 74 degrees.

Stanford (27-23) took the series opener 7-6 on Thursday, but the teams did not play Friday. The Cardinal and Golden Bears (27-25) meet again in the finale of the three-game set.

Stanford right-hander Toran O’Harran has been a key reliever. In Thursday’s win, he threw 3⅓ scoreless innings, allowing no hits while striking out five. Over his past five outings, O’Harran has a 2.57 ERA in 13⅔ innings, striking out 14. He worked at least two innings in each appearance, including 3⅓ innings with four strikeouts in a loss at Notre Dame on May 2.

California third baseman Cade Campbell drove in three runs in Thursday’s loss, going 2-for-4. But the sophomore has struggled outside that game, batting .115 (3-for-26) over his previous nine contests. He had a 2-for-3 day at Virginia on May 8, but was 0-for-4 in the three games before that road trip.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 6-5 victory for Stanford, with the Cardinal holding a 52% win probability according to its ELO system.

The Cardinal have won four of five overall, including a midweek home victory over Saint Mary’s. California has lost two straight after winning four of five.

Notes: Stanford’s Cohen Gomez pitched 2⅔ scoreless innings in Thursday’s game, and Trevor Moore earned the save with 2⅓ innings of one-run ball. California’s Jordy Lopez allowed one run in four innings Thursday, and Tanner Grove tossed 2⅔ scoreless frames.

The series marks the first ACC meeting between the two California rivals since the conference expanded.
