A double through the left side by Chris Patterson, who went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, brought home two more and gave Missouri an 8-8 tie.

The game turned in the bottom of the eighth. Texas immediately answered. A double down the right-field line, followed by another double, put runners in scoring position. An intentional walk loaded the bases, and a walk forced in the go-ahead run. A sacrifice fly brought home another.
