BOCA RATON, Fla. (Interstat) — Gabriel Milano homered and Miami’s bullpen delivered six scoreless innings as the Hurricanes edged Florida Atlantic 5-4 on Wednesday at FAU Baseball Stadium.

Miami built a 5-0 lead by the second inning, highlighted by Milano’s solo shot and an RBI double from Brylan West. The Owls clawed back with a three-run fourth, aided by a fielding error, and added another run in the fifth. Reliever Packy Bradley-Cooney starred for Miami, striking out seven over 2 2/3 perfect innings to stifle the comeback. Five Hurricanes pitchers combined to allow just one hit after the fourth inning. Miami improved to 30-11 while Florida Atlantic fell to 19-21.
