Penn’s Offense Erupts in Ivy League Rout of Cornell

PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) — The Penn Quakers scored 10 unanswered runs across the first two innings and cruised to a 14-5 victory over the Cornell Big Red in the first game of an Ivy League doubleheader Saturday at Hank DeVincent Field.

Cornell seized a 5-0 lead in the top of the first, highlighted by Caden Wildman’s RBI double. Penn responded with six runs in the bottom half, fueled by a two-run homer from shortstop James Secretarski, and added three more in the second. Secretarski finished with three RBIs.

Penn starter Jake Moss earned the win, allowing one earned run over six innings with seven strikeouts. Cornell used five pitchers, with starter Andrew Houghton taking the loss. The Quakers improved to 12-15 overall, while Cornell fell to 6-19.
