UCLA at Washington
SEATTLE (Interstat) — UCLA visits Washington on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Husky Ballpark in a Big Ten conference matchup. The first pitch is set for 6 p.m. Pacific.
The Bruins (46-5) enter with the conference’s best record and have won eight of their last 10 games, including a 9-6 victory over Oregon on Sunday. UCLA opened the series against Washington with a scoreless tie Thursday, setting the stage for the second game of the three-game set.
Right fielder Dean West is a key player for UCLA. In the win over Oregon, West went 4 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs. Over his last 10 games, West has totaled 13 hits, two home runs and eight RBIs, though he has been inconsistent, going hitless in three of those contests. In the Bruins’ two most recent losses — to Oregon and Sacramento State — West combined to go 2 for 10.
The Huskies (21-29) have lost three of their last four games, including a 4-0 shutout at Penn State on Saturday in which Washington managed no runs on no hits. Right-handed pitcher Hayden Lewis started that game, throwing 5 1/3 scoreless innings with one strikeout. Lewis allowed three earned runs in his previous outing, a 7-5 win at Michigan on April 26. In his best recent start, Lewis threw eight innings, allowing two earned runs and striking out eight in a 9-5 win over Oregon on May 3.
Washington’s lineup has struggled to generate runs, scoring three or fewer in five of its last seven games.
The Bruins’ recent results include a three-game sweep at Michigan State from May 1-3, a 13-11 win in the series finale, and a 15-3 rout at UC Santa Barbara on April 28. UCLA’s offense has averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
A game simulator projects UCLA to win 8-4.
Following Friday’s game, the two teams will face each other again Saturday in the series finale.
