Arizona at Oklahoma State
AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (Interstat) – Oklahoma State looks to build on its winning record when it hosts Arizona on Friday at O’Brate Stadium.
First pitch is set for 6 p.m. The forecast calls for 76 degrees and cloudy.
The Cowboys enter the Big 12 series at 34-18 overall. Arizona is 18-32.
Friday’s game follows a series-opening 2-0 Arizona win Thursday. The Wildcats’ victory snapped a two-game losing streak and marked their fourth win in five games.
Arizona has shown recent pitching depth. Evan Brandt, a right-hander, threw 5.0 shutout innings with two strikeouts against Houston on May 10, earning a win. He allowed three hits. Brandt’s previous outing was brief – one-third of an inning with no hits or runs in a loss at Kansas on May 2.

Oklahoma State’s offense has been explosive. Shortstop Avery Ortiz went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBIs in a 12-7 win at Oral Roberts on Tuesday. He has driven in at least one run in four of his last five games. Over his past six contests, Ortiz has two home runs and nine RBIs.
The Cowboys took two of three at Arizona State last weekend, winning 13-6 and 9-6 before dropping the finale 11-7.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 7-2 Oklahoma State victory.
The teams conclude the three-game series Saturday.
