WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Interstat) — Yariel Rodriguez homered, doubled and drove in four runs to lead the Towson Tigers to a 15-3 victory over the William & Mary Tribe in a Colonial Athletic Association game Friday night at Plumeri Park.

The Tigers scored first in the top of the second after Janove walked and Rodriguez launched his second home run of the season to left field, giving Towson a 2-0 lead. The Tribe answered in the bottom of the third when Sam Kaczmarek homered to left, his second, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
Towson extended the lead in the fourth. Janove walked again, advanced on a sacrifice bunt, and Nick LoBello hit his first home run of the season to left, scoring Janove to make it 4-1. Rodriguez then doubled down the left-field line, scoring Janove and D’Alessandro to push the lead to 6-3. LoBello followed with an RBI single, scoring Rodriguez to make it 7-3. That ended the Tribe’s momentum as Towson’s bullpen took over.

In the ninth, Heckelman added a three-run homer to left center, his ninth, capping the scoring.
