TROY, Ala. (Interstat) — Troy scored eight runs over the final four innings Sunday afternoon to beat Appalachian State 10-3 at Riddle-Pace Field, avoiding a three-game sweep in the Sun Belt series. Catcher Jimmy Janicki led the Troy attack with a home run and four RBIs, going 2 for 4. His three-run blast in the eighth inning broke the game open after Blake Cavill had already delivered a two-run single earlier in the same frame. Appalachian State jumped ahead early.
