North Carolina A&T vs. High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. (Interstat) — The High Point Panthers, riding a strong season, will look to get back in the win column when they host the struggling North Carolina A&T Aggies in a nonconference baseball game Tuesday at Millis Center.

First pitch is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon under cloudy skies with temperatures around 62 degrees.

The Panthers (21-10) enter having won 10 of their last 13 games, despite a narrow 6-5 loss at College of Charleston on Saturday. Their pitching has been a cornerstone, with reliever Noah Zimmerman emerging as a key arm. Over his last five appearances spanning 18 innings, Zimmerman has allowed just one earned run and five hits while striking out 20 batters.

They will face an Aggies squad (9-21) that snapped a three-game skid with a 6-5 win over Elon on Saturday, powered by a strong relief outing from Aiden Hansen and two hits from Bruce Wyche. North Carolina A&T will look for a reliable performance from Jordan Bright, a pitcher who has shown flashes of effectiveness but has been inconsistent. In his last start on March 28, Bright earned a win against Georgetown, but he surrendered five earned runs to Campbell in his previous appearance.

The teams are set for a quick rematch next Tuesday, April 14, in Greensboro.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is High Point 7, North Carolina A&T 5.

Following this game, High Point opens a Big South Conference series at home against Radford starting Friday. North Carolina A&T begins a Coastal Athletic Association road series at College of Charleston on Friday.
