EVANSVILLE, Ind. (Interstat) — Tanner Graham and Kellen Roberts combined on a six-hit shutout Saturday as Evansville blanked Illinois State 4-0 in Missouri Valley Conference baseball at Charles H. Braun Stadium.

Graham struck out eight over seven dominant innings, allowing six hits. Roberts finished the final two frames for the Purple Aces (7-17, 2-3 MVC). The Redbirds (16-10, 1-4) managed seven hits but could not score.

Evansville broke a scoreless tie in the sixth on Charlie Longmeier’s RBI single. The Purple Aces added three runs in the seventh, highlighted by Spike Magill’s two-run single. Illinois State starter Michael Addari pitched six no-hit innings in a no-decision, but reliever Nolan Girard allowed three runs in the seventh.
