Queens (NC) at Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 24, 2026) (Interstat) — The Charlotte 49ers will look to get back in the win column when they host the Queens (NC) Royals in non-conference baseball action Tuesday at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium.
First pitch is scheduled for under partly cloudy skies with a game-time temperature near 75 degrees.
Charlotte (15-9) enters having dropped two of three on the road at Wichita State, including a 7-2 loss Sunday. The 49ers’ bullpen will be in focus, with right-hander Chayse Oxborrow a key figure. Oxborrow took the loss Sunday, allowing three earned runs over 5 1/3 innings. He has been effective in relief this season, notably striking out 12 over six scoreless innings in a win over Virginia on March 3.
The Royals (6-17) arrive with momentum from a series win over Jacksonville, capped by a 4-3 victory Sunday. Right-hander Adrian Quezada earned the win in that game, allowing one earned run over 5 2/3 innings. He is expected to pitch Tuesday and has been a workhorse for Queens, logging at least five innings in four of his last five starts.
Offensively, Queens will rely on Bradley Brown, whose three-run homer was the difference Sunday. Charlotte’s lineup will aim to rebound after being held to two runs in its last outing.
The teams are on divergent paths this season. Charlotte sits six games above .500, while Queens has struggled to an 11-game deficit. According to Interstat’s game simulator, the 49ers are projected to win 5-2.
This is a standalone midweek contest before both teams resume extended series play this weekend. Charlotte will open a three-game set at home against South Florida on Friday. Queens will host W Georgia for a three-game series starting Friday.
