Seattle at Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif. (Interstat) — The Seattle Redhawks and Pacific Tigers will conclude their three-game series Sunday evening at Klein Family Field, with both teams looking to secure the series victory after splitting the first two contests.

The series is tied 1-1 following Seattle’s 5-2 win on Saturday, which came after Pacific’s 6-4 victory in the opener on Friday.

The rubber match will feature a compelling pitching rematch from the series opener. Seattle (4-14) will send right-hander Travis Farrell to the mound, while Pacific (9-13) counters with righty Zach Todd. Both starters earned decisions in Friday’s game, with Todd getting the win and Farrell taking a hard-luck loss.

Farrell was brilliant in defeat, tossing six no-hit innings with six strikeouts and no earned runs. The Tigers scored four unearned runs against him in the fourth inning. Todd was sharp for the Tigers, allowing one earned run on three hits with eight strikeouts over five innings to earn the win.

The Redhawks, who ended a four-game skid with Saturday’s win, have struggled overall this season. Pacific has also faced challenges, having lost eight of its last 11 games entering the series finale.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is Pacific 4, Seattle 3.

First pitch is scheduled for Sunday evening under cloudy skies with a game-time temperature near 77 degrees.
