Preview: Ohio Bobcats at Bowling Green Falcons

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (March 22, 2026) (Interstat) — The Ohio Bobcats and Bowling Green Falcons will conclude their three-game Mid-American Conference series Sunday at Warren E. Steller Field, with first pitch scheduled for the afternoon.

The series is split, with Bowling Green (6-11) winning 7-0 on Friday before Ohio (4-19) responded with an 8-5 victory Saturday.

A player to watch for the Bobcats is pitcher Hunter Winston, who delivered a standout performance in relief Saturday. Winston threw 5 1/3 hitless innings, allowing one earned run to secure the win. Over his last six appearances, however, he has an 0-1 record with a 10.80 ERA in 11 2/3 innings.

Bowling Green’s Pauly Mancino will look to continue his power surge. The outfielder homered and drove in three runs in Saturday’s loss. In his last 10 games, he is batting .156 (5-for-32) with two home runs and six RBIs.

The Falcons hold a significant edge in the overall season record, but the Bobcats carry momentum from their Saturday win, which snapped a five-game skid. Ohio’s offense broke out for eight runs on 10 hits in that victory, led by Taylor Harris, who went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a low-scoring affair, favoring Bowling Green 3-1.

Sunday’s forecast calls for cloudy skies and a temperature of 56 degrees at game time.

Following the series, Ohio travels to face Ball State for a three-game set starting March 27. Bowling Green will hit the road for a series at Northern Illinois beginning the same day.
